Guacamole

Guacamole made from fresh avocados with tomatoes, chilli and garlic

Guacamole made from fresh avocados with tomatoes, chilli and garlic, the typical dip for TexMex and nachos. You can find tips about avocado at Springlane.

Ingredients

2 soft avocado
2 tomatoes or 8 cherry tomatoes
100 g sour cream
juice of 1/2 lime
2 cloves of garlic
1 chilli
Olive oil
Cumin
Coriander
Salt and pepper

(pumpkin seed oil)

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit and scrape out carefully with a spoon. Mash the flesh with a fork, fold in the sour cream, olive oil and spices. Finely dice the chilli, if you like it hot, also with the seeds. Also dice the tomatoes and fold into the mixture.

Guacamole with pumpkin seed oil?

If it’s not green enough for you, you can add a little pumpkin seed oil to enhance the taste and appearance. It’s no longer the original guacamole, but it’s a bit tastier.

Have you ever tried nachos topped with cheese? It goes very well with this TexMex dip. For me, nachos are a good alternative to chips and vice versa.
